Petition
for Divorce
Although
LeanLegal originally offered a number of divorce packages,
it has been determined that standardized divorce
documents can be readily obtained for a minimal charge from the court system in your jurisdiction. In Canada, these forms can be obtained from provincial statutory publications. In the U.S., these forms can be obtained from the family law court in your jurisdiction.
The divorce packages normally include a petition for divorce, answer, acknowledgement
of service, financial statements, affidavit of
service and divorce judgment.
LeanLegal does currently
offer two forms of separation agreement (available
below) to be used in conjunction with these standardized
divorce documents.
Separation Agreement (Simple)
(This
form is available for most jurisdictions in Canada and the U.S.)
This
is a short form of separation agreement which
briefly outlines issues such as child custody
and support, disposition of the matrimonial home
and division of assets and debts. Does not deal
with issues such as pension plans, insurance policies
or disposition of real estate in addition to matrimonial
home. To include those and many other specifics,
you should properly use the Separation
Agreement (Long).

estate, division of assets and debts, pension
