The majority of our downloadable forms can now be used by most Canadians. If you need a legal form specific to your province, please let us know at forms@leanlegal.com. (These forms should not be used by residents of Quebec).

Now you can save up to 40% with the U.S. / Canadian exchange rate.

Many of our downloadable forms are now available for use by Americans. When you buy a form using U.S. dollars, you can save up to 40 cents for each dollar spent (depending upon the exchange rate on that day). A $20.00 form could cost you only $13.00 U.S. (These forms should not be used by residents of Louisiana, Guam, Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands)

LeanLegal is the first in Canada to provide a broad selection of downloadable self-help legal forms for individuals, families and small business. We also provide free legal tutorials, step-by-step instructions for completing the forms, and extensive legal resources which are designed to help Canadians understand the law and the legal system.

How to purchase a form

A complete list of downloadable forms can be found in the Forms Store. Payment can be made by MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Discover card. All credit card processing and approval is provided by VeriSign & Internet Secure. Please be assured that LeanLegal does not access or retain your credit card number at any time or for any reason.

Once you have selected a form for purchase, simply follow the processing instructions provided by InternetSecure. After your purchase has been approved, you will receive an immediate confirmation from Internet Secure which will include a user name and password which you must use to gain access to your legal document. Please print the confirmation, scroll to the bottom of the confirmation page, and click on "Continue to Download your Form." You will then be prompted to insert the user name and password, following which you will be returned to the LeanLegal site and your form will be available for downloading.

All documents are downloaded in Rich Text Format (RTF) and can be edited and printed right from your browser. However, we suggest that you save your document to disk before you edit. All documents contain highlighted text which describes the information to be inserted. There are no fancy templates to tab through or long "Read me" files. The instructions are right on the form. Once you have read the highlighted text, it can be deleted and the actual data entered in normal text.

Other Internet sites may ask you to submit personal or confidential information so they can complete or process the form for you. At LeanLegal, you enter your personal data right on the form, and it stays on your computer -- not in someone's database or floating around on the world wide web.
